Here is one of my sketches of a legless robot companion to the main character. He's meant to carry a blanket of solar panels that keep him (barely) alive, and is dragged around in a Radio-Flyer wagon. This whole project will actually be in black and white, unless I find someone who knows what they are doing willing to color it for me.

For some reason I really like these blown-up sketches, which at times are hardly recognizable! If I ever put out this mini-comic, I plan to stick to really basic color... mostly because that's the best I can do!
Here is a fake cover put together from a small drawing I did for Siena showing her how we read at night without electricity.

We, of course, had an outhouse that was about 50 meters further into the woods, which made getting up and going to the bathroom on a cold winter morning very interesting. This is a short comic that I used to illustrate this to Siena...the last caption was added afterward!
She comes up with the 'story', and I draw the panels, usually on a piece of printer paper. Here is a recent one...I stick to her story pretty strictly, so it doesn't always make too much sense! We follow these up with ones where she does the drawing as well, and she will often color in my line art with crayon or colored pencil.
